What does "commitment deposit/suggested price" mean?
It means that you ultimately get to decide what you pay. We would like you to consider what we do as a priceless gift and you give according to what your heart and your wallet allow.
We require deposits, however, for two reasons.
1- because it helps you to commit to yourself. The deposit is not refundable until you have completed whatever the event or training is. If you don't follow through, you lose your deposit.
2- because it helps give you an idea of what amount you could consider giving.
In any case, at the end of the event you will receive an adjustable invoice. You will have the liberty of adjusting it UP or DOWN (or leaving it as it is) however you see fit. We then square up accordingly.
You decide what kind of value this has added to your life.
Why do we do this?
Because this website is still a work in progress, this page doesn't yet do justice to the money conversation we want to have with you. But it will give you a good idea to start with.
We have some groundbreaking ideas about money, wealth and abundance. This page is meant to introduce you to those ideas and help you understand how we structure our financial approach and why.
To sum it up briefly, we believe strongly in the idea of a gift economy. Most tribal societies operate from some version of this, and the benefits are remarkable. There are some challenges that we've faced, however, in implementing these principles that we believe in, and we've discovered some beautiful and creative solutions.
Ideally we want to encourage you to see what we offer as a gift that you are receiving from Life itself, rather than a transaction for a service that you want to "get". We believe that the difference in mind-set between "getting" and "receiving" is one of the greatest shifts that we can make on our way to recovering a tribal way of life.
One of the goals we have as a tribe is to demonstrate conclusively that it is possible to shift into a new model of economics and experience abundance and plenitude not just for oneself and ones family but for the entire tribe and the entire nation.
